Explore Our Programs Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing Students in the Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing program learn safety, tools and equipment, damage analysis, component replacement, sheet metal straightening and filling, welding, painting and refinishing, detailing, and introduction to frame straightening and mechanical systems. Learn More Automotive Technology Students in the Automotive Technology Program are given instruction in safety, tools and equipment, engine repair, electrical and electronic systems, brakes, steering and suspension, engine performance, air conditioning, and driveline service. Learn More Carpentry The Carpentry program is organized around the fabrication and construction of residential housing and related remodeling. Production work is an essential part of the carpentry trade program experience. Construction agreements are made with customers to build, renovate, remodel or extend structures. Learn More Culinary Arts Culinary Arts program are trained in all phases of the food service industry. Students take the hands-on” approach with their training through the use of fully stocked and operational commercial kitchens to produce food in large quantities, as well as smaller scale kitchens that train students on casual and fine dining. Learn More Electrical Learn More Electronics Technology Electronics focuses on hands-on and theory of circuitry and practical application to designing, creating and repairing things we use in our everyday lives. Students learn proper use of hand tools and common electronic equipment; soldering; parts identification and schematic symbols; basic direct current (DC) circuits; project assembly; and more. Learn More Graphic Design Graphic Design students are introduced to the basic concepts of page layout and graphic design, methods of print production and image development for new media, legal restrictions of the printing industry and laws of copyright and intellectual property, printing and bindery process, fundamentals of type, typesetting, page layout, proofreading, line photography, image assembly and substrates. Learn More Hairdressing and Cosmetology The Hairdressing and Cosmetology program encompasses a broad range of specialty areas including hairstyling, nail technology, and esthetics. It is the art and science of beautifying and improving the skin, nails, and hair, and the study of cosmetics and their applications. Learn More Health Technology Health Technology students are given instruction in health care safety, nutrition, National Health Care Standards, categories of health care facilities, legal/ethical/moral concerns in health care, and effective communication including medical terminology. Learn More Mechanical Design and Engineering Technology Mechanical Design and Engineering Technology (MDET) students learn the design process, industry standards, and documenting design specifications through this project-based curriculum. Students advance using 3D solid modeling software for reverse engineering solutions of existing mechanical designs. Learn More Plumbing, Heating and Cooling The Plumbing, Heating and Cooling program prepares students with knowledge in construction safety, measuring and blueprint reading, calculations of plumbing and heating systems. This includes drainage fixture units, water supply fixture units, gas pipe sizing, and calculating heat loss for hydronic heating applications. Learn More Precision Machining Technology In Precision Machining Technology, students learn machine safety, measuring tools, and precision machining fundamentals using manual milling machines, lathes, and other metal processing machines. Students’ progress using computer numerical controlled (CNC) machining and turning centers. Learn More Student Workforce Student Workforce Work-Based Learning (WBL) allows a student to work for an employer during their trade instructional time. Students not only receive credit toward their career technology, but also get paid. Off-Campus Construction Projects CTECS has the unique ability to complete construction jobs off-campus, on both residential homes and commercial properties. On-Campus Services We offer a wide range of services to the public at a fraction of the market price.
